10 Bands/Songs From the Late 90’s

Growing up as a kid in the 90’s was pretty fantastic, especially when it came to television, there was so much to watch and enjoy. There was one show that had many Canadian kids and teens watching weekly to see the top music videos and songs of that era. That show was the Hit List, which is the show that influenced this blog post!

Two Marty’s and their behavior and Oilers Need for a Change

Here are few more NHL notes that I didn’t get to add to my last post, enjoy!

Marty Brodeur and Marty St Louis have shown their dismal side in their old hockey age. These players wanted to be traded at the deadline, one got his wish, the other didn’t. The one who got his wish was Marty St Louis and was traded to the New York Rangers while, Brodeur didn’t get his wish and was not traded.

Well that was a close one wasn’t it? 4-3 Win for the Montreal Canadiens over the Toronto Maple Leafs. It was a good game a lot of back and forth action, weird lack of penalties and some weird goals especially the Tomas Plekanec game winning goal that managed to squeak by James Reimer, but this isn’t an analysis of this game, there are enough people out there who can do that, what I’m talking about is what I noticed after the game ended.

Remember Them? S Club 7!

So Remember Them? If the picture hasn’t given it away yet then maybe this hint will, these guys always claimed that their ain’t no party like an S Club party! That’s right I’m talking about S Club 7, the British Pop group that came out in 1998 and would keep going all the way to 2003, which lets face it most of these “bands” never stayed around that long.

Wade Redden Retires: Remembering Good and Bad

As many of you probably already know former NHL defensemen Wade Redden has announced his retirement after 14 seasons in the NHL. Wade Redden played for the Ottawa Senators, New York Rangers, St Louis Blues and Boston Bruins. In 1023 games played in the NHL Redden scored 109 goals and had 457 points.

Nedved Making the Czech Team is Pretty Cool

Can we for one-minute stop talking about the Canadian Olympic team selection for one moment; forget about who made it and who didn’t. Can we forget about the fact that Kunitz and Jay Bo made the team over Giroux, Boyle and St. Louis? Lets just stop thinking about Canada for one second and remember that one hilarious, and yet very cool thing has happened to another Olympic team.

Ah its beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go people are shopping and seeing Santa, the spirit is growing every day and its very exciting. If you haven’t guessed it yet, I’m a huge Christmas fan and although some years my spirit isn’t as high as it should be, I always try my best to enjoy it to its fullest.
