Television in 90′s for Kids was The Best!

Good 90's shows

.The other day while I was watching TV and channel surfing (because the baseball game I was watching was a blow out), I came across YTV the old television channel that used to have fantastic shows when I was a kid and teenager, so naturally I look at what they had to offer and to my dismay it was pure and total crap. It is either back to back to back, to back to back-to-back shows of Fairly Odd Parents or Spongebob Square Pants, which there is nothing wrong with that, but that is everyday during the week; that is not it though it gets worse. Good bad shark

Spoiler alert: There might be things within this article that may spoil stuff that happened if you did not see How I Met Your Mother please be warned that their may be some spoilers in this article, you have been warned.

I shall start off with the Ugly; the Toronto Maple Leafs who managed to tie the first round series against the Boston Bruins 3 games to 3 and force a game seven were very close to eliminating the Bruins. The score was 4-1 in favor of the Maple Leafs and it seemed to be game over for Boston, but just like in anything it is not over until it is over. Continue reading

Say it ain’t so! Jay and Dan are leaving TSN for Fox Sports in Los Angeles! Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole are hosts of Sports Center and their own podcast for those people who did not know, for those who do know who they are they will remember how hilarious these guys really are. The two of them brought humor and a lot of fun to Sportscentre and made it more entertaining to watch every morning. The two of them had gotten so popular on TSN that other Sportcentre hosts started to copy some of the things that Jay and Dan would do regularly on the show. Continue reading

Habs, Sens and Tebow Again?

sens habs!

I know I didn’t write anything last week sorry! Sometimes life gets in the way now onto the article!

The NHL playoffs are here and they are going to be exciting to watch. For the first time in years all the original six teams have made the playoffs. The Red Wings vs. the Ducks, Blackhawks vs. the Wild, Rangers vs. Capitals; Maple Leafs vs. Bruins and the Canadiens vs. the Senators. It is also the first time in a while that two Canadian teams have played against each other. It is the first time since the Ottawa Senators returned to the NHL that the Habs and Sens will face off against each other. The excitement and hype for this series from these two cities is becoming enormous and has the potential to become a new and great rivalry.

MacTavish New Gm and Possible Calder Trophey Candidate

mac and gally

So… Steve Tambellini got fired the other day, is anyone surprised? I am sure that there are people who are surprised, but honestly, I am not. The Edmonton Oilers under Tambellini never made the playoffs during his tenure and the best record was an 11th place finish in 2008-2009 with a 38-35-9 record. From 2009-2012 the Edmonton Oilers were last or second to last in the league each season, earning them the #1 lottery draft pick.

Quentin’s Stupidity and Markov’s comeback

Markov and Quentin

When you think baseball, you think home runs; stolen bases, and diving catches. You think of robbing home runs off the wall and 10+ strikeout games from quality pitchers. When you think about baseball you do not really think about fighting! The bench-clearing brawl, which is one of the dumbest things in baseball to date, went a little overboard last week in San Diego.

May blog

It is finally starting to feel like spring, it took long enough, hopefully this time there will not be a random snow storm; either way people are finally free from old man winter. Funny enough though, I want April to end fast! Why? you might ask, well there are a couple of cool and fun things to look forward to in May. What am I talking about exactly? Well I will tell you! First off, anyone in Cegep or University is free at last! Unless you have summer school, most of the older students will be off from school till the fall, which means time to re-charge out batteries, work and of course have a lot of fun and enjoy some entertainment.
