Sooo, I was wrong… I admit it, I was wrong. Well, of course I was wrong I picked LA and Pittsburgh to make the Stanley Cup finals. Of course the finals will be the Chicago Blackhawks vs. the Boston Bruins, which starts Wednesday. Many hockey experts are wrong as well so I am not upset about my choice, it happens when you are basically flipping a coin, you are only right 50% of the time. Continue reading →
The Western Conference semi finals between the Chicago Blackhawks, the Detroit Red Wings and the LA Kings-San Jose Sharks, both went to game seven finals, ultimately being won by the Kings and Hawks in the end to set up the Western Conference finals. The Western Conference has always been considered the tougher division and these teams proved everyone why it is a tough conference. The question now is who will win and go to the Stanley Cup finals?

The shortened hockey season is slowly dwindling down to a close with four teams about to play in the Conference finals. The NHL trade deadline is coming soon (April 3rd) and the trade rumors are starting to really heat up, especially with the recent moves done by the Pittsburgh Penguins in acquiring Brandon Morrow from Dallas and Douglas Murray from San Jose. The Penguins are making a serious push for a deep Stanley Cup playoff run. Now it is up to other playoff contending teams to do the same.
This week I decided to try something new, I will be sharing three quick blogs in one with different topics for each one. I hope that you enjoy all three, this is of course a trial and I would be very grateful to hear some of your opinions on them to help tweak them, or if I should make these into 3 separate blogs and distribute them throughout the week. So that game last night was one heck of a game! The game included a strong lead by the Baltimore Ravens thanks to Joe Flacco and the offense and a good defensive showing lead by Ray Lewis stopped the 49ers and lead at the half 21-6. Then there was the so-so half-time show. I only say mediocre, because I am not a fan of that kind of music, however it was interesting to watch the show but I watch the Superbowl for the football; not the halftime show. Continue reading →
