Habs, Sens and Tebow Again?

sens habs!

I know I didn’t write anything last week sorry! Sometimes life gets in the way now onto the article!

The NHL playoffs are here and they are going to be exciting to watch. For the first time in years all the original six teams have made the playoffs. The Red Wings vs. the Ducks, Blackhawks vs. the Wild, Rangers vs. Capitals; Maple Leafs vs. Bruins and the Canadiens vs. the Senators. It is also the first time in a while that two Canadian teams have played against each other. It is the first time since the Ottawa Senators returned to the NHL that the Habs and Sens will face off against each other. The excitement and hype for this series from these two cities is becoming enormous and has the potential to become a new and great rivalry.

Will Tebow Mania Ever Return?

Tebow Mania done

It has been a while since I have discussed football and since the free agency has started in the NFL I felt that maybe I should talk about some football. Instead of talking about who is being signed, because players are changing position left right and center, I decided to talk about an old topic that has not been mentioned as much lately, Tim Tebow ladies and gentlemen! Remember Tebow? Tim Tebow was supposed to be this big deal Quarterback in the NFL playing for the Denver Broncos and for a while he was with the Broncos. He pulled off some miraculous comebacks and last minute wins in the 2011 season. That was the season where the Broncos actually beat the Steelers and eliminated them in the playoff. Tebow Time was in full swing in Denver and it seemed it would last for a long time. Funny enough after those playoff games in 2012, Peyton Manning, the Indianapolis Colts QB was released from the team and Denver signed him to a 3-year deal. This changed everything in instant. A team that was built for Tebow’s style of play was now being changed for Manning, and Tebow seemed to be out of the starting QB job. Continue reading

Madden Curse Broken?

madden-curse-movie-poster

So another NFL season has come and gone with many great memories and heartbreaks, however with that said there are millions of football fans still playing Madden 13, a football game developed by EA Sports. This is a very good game with great graphic and game play, but I am not here to rate the game, (8.5/10) but to talk about the possibility that the Madden Curse has been broken.  John Madden an ex-NFL coach and commentator who lent his name to EA sports to create the football game, which came out in 1988 and the series has had a game every year since 1993. The “curse” started in 1999 when they decided to put a known NFL player on the cover instead of John Madden. Continue reading

NFC vs. AFC: Which is more interesting?

Football blog pic

***Warning: This post may have a small bias mainly because this is an opinion and some may be offend about what I say towards a team you support, I do apologize in advance if I have offended anyone, however I am just trying to get a point across. Feel free to debate with me about what I have said.***

The National Football League (NFL) is the most popular major sports league in the United States of America. It has a large fan base in Canada too and of course with the Hockey lockout more Canadians are looking towards the NFL for a different sport and entertainment, lucky for them the playoffs are just around the corner. The NFL playoffs are a very exciting time of year and get very interesting especially if you have a team you are cheering for in Canada. I have noticed that people pick teams before the playoffs start and give them their allegiance for the time being, luckily for me ,my favorite team the Cincinnati Bengals have made it to the post season again and for now I do not need to hop on any bandwagon. Another fun part of the NFL playoffs is the super bowl which means time to gather some friends a lot of food and drinks and enjoy the game no matter who is playing, although it would be even better if a team we actually cheer for makes it. This year the AFC Continue reading
